With the global pandemic affecting businesses all over the world, entrepreneurs are pivoting to new ways of working. Here at Launchpad Coworking, we wanted to show you the possibilities of creating a work environment that’s safe and a setup that will work for you. Read on to find out more about how our members have been navigating their work spaces given the situation for the past couple of months.
Before COVID. “We operate 24/7 especially our Support department while the Admin and Marketing department operates Monday to Friday. We do monthly team activities as well. We also have regular food deliveries every week.”
ECQ challenges. “First was the routine as an office manager. Everything stopped since lockdown happened and the need to go to the office has been really a challenge. It was also struggling to look for suppliers whenever we needed it during our monthly activities (we are still operating) because some of them have stopped production and the available choices are limited. Second, everyone has to adjust to the new normal and for the work from home setup. It was not feasible with everyone as they get distracted at home.”
Lockdown tips. “Having patience and the ability to adapt to the change is a must during these trying times. I know most of us are also stressed out for many reasons but keeping an open-mind and wide understanding really helps not just to others but to yourself as well.”
Transitioning to GCQ. “Since some transportation buses have been allowed to operate, going to and from work is no longer a challenge compared before. Some areas are still not commute-friendly but with GCQ, at least going to point A to B is possible. Also, we don’t allow our employees to work in the office even with GCQ for safety purposes unless absolutely needed. Should someone need to be in the office, safety measures are required.”
Entrep musts. “Trying a different style of business. Something related to what’s happening or something that can help with society during this time so they can still have possible clients.”
WFH vs in a shared space. “Personally, I’d rather work at Launchpad than at home. Remote work is just not for me especially in my role.”
Tips for newbie WFH or remote workers. “Try to be as creative as you can when setting up your workspace at home so you will be inspired and get moving. Style it to the point where you will be productive right when you sit on your chair. Investing in a good chair is a plus. Noise-free room if possible.”

ECQ challenges. “Transportation (no more, no less). We have the option to work from home, but a separate office space impacts your work efficiency.”
Lockdown scenario. “It’s the time of the year where the company’s busy meeting tons of deadlines, so we’re too preoccupied to make room for work environment adjustments and just need to deal with a lot of distractions.”
Transitioning to GCQ. “Nothing much has changed, but the company made arrangements for chauffeur service so I can go back to Launchpad, OG twice a week. Working with your colleague in the same room minimizes miscommunication and it’s easier to team up with different tasks.”
Lockdown Tips. “Cut down unnecessary activities/expenses and try to diversify to cope up with the COVID-19 market demands.”
WFH vs in a shared space. “Definitely! I’d rather work at LP than home. I’m more efficient at the office and can comfortably do my daily deliverables (I can concentrate more and manageme my time better. I can also avoid overlapping my work hours and personal time).”
Tips for newbie WFH or remote workers. “Try to make a small office space in your house if you opt to work from home (Definitely far from the kitchen and bedroom! Hahaha!).”
